Individual Active Lifestyle Awards
INDIVIDUAL ACTIVE LIFESTYLE AWARDS
Given to individuals by their organization -- church, school or hospital.
-
Presidential Active Lifestyle Awards (United States only) The Presidential Active Lifestyle Award (PALA) is a challenge for both children and adults to build healthy habits by committing to regular physical activity five days a week, for six weeks.
-
NAD Active Lifestyle Awards In addition to the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award described above, the North American Division has also created an Active Lifestyle Award for recognizing individual achievement in maintaining an active lifestyle.
NAD Active Lifestyle Awards are meant to be used by Adventist schools outside the United States which do not qualify for the PALA awards. In addition, we encourage every church, university, and healthcare institution in the North American Division interested in helping us achieve our 2 million mile goal (including those in the US), to offer these NAD awards to their members, students and employees.
Everyone must register and report the miles online on this site, or through the site coordinatorso each mile can count towards our 2 million mile goal. Individual adults and children may achieve award certificates every 13 weeks as follows (see 13 week physical activity log for download under register and reporting tab):
In addition, individuals that are very goal-oriented may be inducted into the 500, 1000, 1500 or 2000 mile clubs after completing the respective number of physical activity miles in one year.
Adventists Instep for Life Coordinators may print the award certificates every 13 weeks for award recognition.
Besides certificates, your organization may purchase pins, caps, t-shirts, and other Adventists InStep for Life items to use in recognizing the achievements of your participants.
